Support AVG 7.5 Free Edition will be Ended August, 31 2008

If you are using AVG 7.5 Free Edition, this is time to replace your antivirus. Even we know that this antivirus version has good performance but, based on the official forum (read here), they have planned to end the support this free antivirus since August, 31 2008. And there are no update start from that date.

And today, the program update is not available anymore. But if you using paid version of AVG 7.5, they will support until the end of this year. What is the best solution for this ?

Some tips to clean up Computer from Viruses

As we know that the main purpose of Antivirus is to protect Computer being infected by viruses. Even now many antivirus include proactive detection feature ( the ability to detect new viruses without depend on their viruses database), but once computer is infected by virus, the antivirus often cannot do much. UBCD4Win version 3.20 has been released

After few month, at last new version of UBCD4Win has been released. As you know, UBCD4Win (Ultimate boot CD for Windows) is a bootable CD that contains many useful freeware. From data recovery, disk management, AntiVirus and many others.

After read from their website, actually they will include new AVG 8.0, but AVG 8.0 still has some sporadic and random problems so that is the reason they are holding off on getting it into UBCD4Win. Nevertheless, this version is good news, because many software has been updated. Including Avira Personal edition, One of the best free antivirus I think. Also note that the previous version is 3.13 and this new version is 3.20. What is the different ?

After the first release of AVG 80 Free Edition (Include AVG 8.0), the are many complaint from their users comparing to the prior release AVG 7.5. New Release AVG 8.0

For about 2 month after the first version, at last new AVG program update has been released, Program update AVG 8.0.130 – SP1. This version come with many improvement compare to the initial release. Maybe because many user still complain with AVG 8.0. This improvement today only available for professional version. Not the Free Version.
